Role Overview Skyborne Airline Academy is seeking independent, professional B737 simulator and ground instructors holding a current CFI certificate for its planned ATP CTP training programme under Part 141. The training location is in Miami Springs, near Miami International Airport (3814 Curtiss Parkway, Miami Springs, Florida 32166, United States). This is a contract engagement. Skyborne is seeking up to 10 independent Flight Simulator Instructors / Ground Instructors to deliver ATP CTP training. Contractors provide classroom instruction and/or instruction in a B737-800 full-motion Level D simulator and/or a fixed-base flight training device. The arrangement could suit active airline pilots, Part 135 or Part 91 pilots seeking flexible supplemental income, and retired or medically disqualified pilots who enjoy contributing to the next generation of aviators. Key Responsibilities The scope of services may include, but is not limited to: Deliver instructor-led classroom and simulator/FTD instruction to Skyborne clients under its Part 141 FAA certificate, consistent with FAA standards. Deliver the ATP CTP curriculum on B737 simulators. Conduct pre- and post-flight FTD/simulator briefings thoroughly and professionally, in line with FAA expectations and safety practices. Conduct each FTD/simulator session in accordance with aircraft manufacturer guidance and FAA-recognised procedures. Provide the instruction required for issuance of an ATP CTP Certificate of Completion. Complete FAA-required training records accurately and comprehensively to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of training. Record simulator usage and discrepancies per FAA-required procedures. Track and maintain personal instructional qualifications and currency to remain qualified to perform the contracted training. Licences & Qualifications FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with a fixed-wing, airplane category, multi-engine class rating. Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate (CFI, CFII or MEI), held or obtained before beginning instruction. Must be type-rated on the B737 and current in the B737-800. No history of accidents or licence suspensions. Experience At least 2 years' experience as pilot-in-command at an FAA Part 121, Part 135 or Part 91 air carrier, or 2 years as second-in-command at a Part 121 air carrier. Experience as a current or former line check airman or simulator instructor is preferred but not required. Requirements Ability to accept or decline instructional opportunities based on personal availability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to high-quality instruction and a positive client experience. Ability to function effectively in a high-paced training environment.
