Role Overview As a Simulator Instructor you work with the Check Airman Supervisor and Flight Training Administration to make sure early-stage pilot training is scheduled, progressing well and properly recorded. You also help the Director of Training and the Manager of Simulator Training and Standards keep departmental goals, policies and procedures up to date. The position is not line qualified and does not sit on the PSA pilot seniority list. Key Responsibilities Provide early-stage flight instruction in a full flight simulator, plus occasional ground instruction. Instruct initial, upgrading and transitioning PSA pilots. Adhere to company standard operating procedures. Complete student training records. Carry out developmental duties as assigned. Take responsibility for the company Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and the associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Good communication skills. Ability to speak, read and write English. If hired, must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the United States. Licences & Qualifications Holds an Airline Transport Pilot licence. Eligible for the CL-65 PIC type rating. Experience Preferred: previous Part 121 check airman experience. Preferred: Part 121 instructor experience. Additional Information The position has no supervisory responsibilities and no specific authorities. In the incumbent's absence, responsibilities are delegated to the Manager of Simulator Training and Standards. Work environment: professional office environment using standard office equipment. The role is largely sedentary, but the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Security clearance: all employees must pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49 CFR 1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements
