OceaniaALG is currently recruiting a Procurement Officer on behalf of our aviation client based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will support the Line, Base, and Workshop Maintenance operations by coordinating the procurement and logistics of consumables, expendables, and retables across the network.
Location: Brisbane, Australia
Employment Type: Full-Time (On-site preferred)
Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 (flexible start/finish options available)
Reporting To: Procurement Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret maintenance work packages to identify and forecast material requirements for upcoming base maintenance events.
- Coordinate pre-induction procurement planning in collaboration with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) service providers.
- Manage service orders and ensure timely delivery of supplied parts to meet MRO induction timelines.
- Perform end-to-end procurement functions including sourcing, order placement, supplier coordination, and documentation control.
- Maintain compliance with Interface Procedures Manual (IPM) and all relevant procurement and safety policies.
- Track and report order progress, proactively managing delays or discrepancies that may affect maintenance performance.
- Support RFP processes, contract administration, and supplier performance reviews.
- Contribute to cost control, inventory optimisation, and procurement process improvements.
- Ensure data accuracy, documentation traceability, and adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
- Promote safety and compliance culture through active participation in reporting systems (e.g. iQSMS).
Job Requirements
- Secondary education required; Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting preferred.
- Prior experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain within aviation or technical industries.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance environments, MRO operations, or inventory systems will be advantageous.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
