Process Performance Engineer

Location: Filton - Initially full-time onsite, transitioning to hybrid (60% onsite)
Hours: 35 hours/week across 4.5 days (between 7am-7pm)
Contract: Until 31/10/2026 - Extension Possible
Rate: £38.00/hr Umbrella | £28.41/hr PAYE
Security Clearance: BPSS + Clearance (ITAR restrictions apply)
Interview Process: One stage, face-to-face preferred

About the Role

Our Client is seeking a Process Performance Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team at the Filton Plant. This role is pivotal in defining and optimizing industrial processes on the shop floor, with a focus on improving aircraft production efficiency.

You'll be involved in a variety of exciting projects and R&T initiatives. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across design and manufacturing phases, contributing to the implementation of new technologies and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Standard Line Balancing (SLB) and PERT charts within multi-functional teams
  • Analyse production data to reduce spent time and improve efficiency
  • Lead White Space reduction and Red Space analysis to maximize CVAT efficiency
  • Identify and share best practices across stations and teams
  • Conduct VA/NVA analysis and shop floor observations to optimize serial allocated time
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with operations to amend baseline processes and manage workflow

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of aircraft product design, particularly wing assembly
  • Proficient in SAP and Google Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience in industrial assessments, tact time creation, and workflow management
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with Catia, 3DX, and design software
  • Knowledge of Export Control, Cyber Security, Health & Safety legislation
  • Understanding of ICY, Key Characteristics & Metrology
