We are excited to have an opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join the dynamic world of Operational Maintenance Planning on a permanent basis with British Airways in Heathrow!
The Role:
- Maximise opportunities within the maintenance plan and other key assets through data analysis.
- Influences the management of resources across departments and projects to meet operational and financial objectives
- Applying Engineering objectives when making decisions and creating plans
- Ensures high-quality communication takes place with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers and that this takes place in a timely and accurate manner and in line with company Hallmarks
- May be asked to stand in for Team Leader
- Support, participate and contribute to continuously improving processes to ensure they are 'value added' cost effective
- Ensure the best use of hangars, manpower, components and downtime by ensuring tasks are called in the most effective manner
What we are looking for:
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- A high level of awareness of maintenance tasks or extensive experience in aircraft maintenance planning
- Ability to plan in a changing and complex environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and suppliers using different media
- IT literacy - strong SAP, AirOps and Excel usage
Requirements:
- HNC/HND/degree level or equivalent in an approved Engineering subject.
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of EASA regulations, including Part-M and Part-145
- Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Planning
- Aircraft technical knowledge desirable
- Sound understanding of the Operation desirable
