Job Description

Role Overview Instructor of pilots for the FAA or AQP approved New Hire, Upgrade, Transition and Recurrent Proficiency Training programmes. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Key Responsibilities Evaluate candidate performance and compliance with Mesa Airlines policies and procedures in accordance with the appropriate training programmes Demonstrate a high working level of aircraft systems and procedures Recognise, identify and promptly correct any deficiencies in student performance Set an example of leadership within the pilot group and display a high level of professionalism in appearance and demeanour, without being combative towards students Comply with the applicable requirements of the Mesa Airlines General Operations Manual and Check Airman Manual, which are subject to change without notice Accept additional assignments from the Manager of Flight Standards or Chief Flight Instructor to assist in developing and revising flight operations manuals and training courseware Other duties as assigned Requirements Meets the flight instructor qualifications of FAR 121.412 Enthusiasm and passion for aviation, for transferring knowledge and for the Mesa Airlines brand, with excellent organisational skills and an engaging personality Must pass a 10-year background check and a 5-year PRIA check Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent education and experience will be considered What We Offer $20,000 sign-on bonus Full-time permanent position in Flight Operations Training

Requirements
