About the Company Widerøe's Flyveselskap operates 43 aircraft and flies to more than 50 destinations in Norway and abroad. Norway's short-runway network is a central part of Widerøe's offering and an important public transport service for the regions, built up over many decades. Widerøe is a pioneer in electric aviation and aims to begin phasing in electric aircraft from 2030, making it the airline furthest advanced in the work to make aviation emission-free. It is Norway's oldest airline and has believed in connecting places and people for over 80 years. Widerøe operates from five bases: Bergen, Bodø, Oslo, Torp/Sandefjord and Tromsø, and as crew you will belong to one of these five. Role Overview Widerøe is looking for more pilots and invites you to register an open application in its candidate database. Requirements Absolute requirement: fluency in at least one Scandinavian language - Norwegian, Danish and/or Swedish - at a minimum of Berlitz level 4-5. Place of work: base assigned as required, 8003 Bodø (Bodø municipality). Documents that must be uploaded to be considered: ATPL theory examinations including results with percentage scores; MCC course certificate; medical; licence; passport; a copy of the last two pages of your logbook; upper secondary school diploma or equivalent; UPRT certificate if you do not hold a previous type rating; ATO approval for the flight school where the UPRT was carried out (a regulatory requirement); and any references. Selection process: Widerøe contacts applicants who are candidates for pilot intake and offers them a place at selection tests. Applicants approved after the selection test, personality assessment and interview will be offered employment when positions become available. Safety: Widerøe carries out drug and alcohol testing for new appointments in flight-operations-related positions, and appointment is conditional on a negative test result. An exhaustive police certificate (UPA) is required on appointment; information is available from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority.
