Job Description

Role Overview Provide flight, simulator and ground instruction in accordance with the Mesa Pilot Development flight training programme and FAA policies and procedures, complying with all applicable Mesa Pilot Development and FAA regulations to ensure the highest quality of training for assigned students in each flight course. This is a part-time permanent position. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate safe practices and procedures at all times when operating in the aviation environment Simultaneously demonstrate and perform manoeuvres and procedures while giving effective flight instruction to students at various levels of training and experience Demonstrate instructional knowledge of the required material and impart it to students with a high degree of accuracy and skill Provide the highest level of customer service and quality flight training to all students, agents and partner agencies Work effectively under pressure, using good judgement and sound aeronautical decision making in a fast-paced and noisy environment Other duties as assigned Licences & Qualifications FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate Current and valid FAA Medical Certificate, with no limitations preventing the applicant from conducting flight training activity Experience Applicants are asked to provide the following records. Total PIC time, including totals for ASEL, AMEL and other Dual given, in total and within the previous 12 calendar months Aircraft experience by make and model, and type where applicable Total instrument time, simulated or actual (airplane only) Night PIC and PIC in Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) Student FAA practical test pass rate Must have been part of the Mesa Pilot Development Program

Requirements

  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Current and valid FAA Medical Certificate, with no limitations preventing the applicant from conducting flight training activity
  • Total PIC time, including totals for ASEL, AMEL and other
  • Dual given, in total and within the previous 12 calendar months
  • Aircraft experience by make and model, and type where applicable
  • Total instrument time, simulated or actual (airplane only)
