Role Overview Monitor and maintain airworthiness in a 24/7 operation and safeguard punctual flight operations from a technical perspective, ensuring compliance with all aviation law requirements (LBA / EASA) and other approved EAT internal procedures such as the MOE and CAME, as well as those of the respective operator. Key Responsibilities Act as single point of contact for the fleets supported: maintain a permanent overview of technical status, report that status, notify relevant departments of urgent changes and provide technical support to the operators. Monitor ongoing and planned maintenance in the +72-hour window across all stations. Review incoming maintenance documentation, including the aircraft release to service (CRS). Accept the aircraft for flight operations according to the process description, with an active handover to flight operations. Review, weigh up and approve the deferral of defects, and monitor the corresponding entries in the MIS. Continuously monitor deferred defects and those that impose operational restrictions on the operation. Support the supporting departments (including Engineering, STEP, AV, Logistics and Troubleshooting) so the aircraft can be returned to the network as quickly as possible. Communicate with aircraft crews on technical problems to ensure reliable operation and avoid delays or cancellations. Support the Daily Planner in planning aircraft routings and coordinating maintenance activities so the aircraft is operational within the planned schedule and available to the DHL network. Ensure solution-oriented communication between all departments involved in AOG recovery, and be able to report on all current AOGs at any time. Ensure rapid restoration of airworthiness through effective coordination and monitoring of the AOG situation. Review and approve short-notice requested aircraft changes. Inform the maintenance organisation when changes arise in flight planning. Track and maintain records of technical delays. Coordinate and support third-party activities as required at outstations. Take on special tasks and contribute to cross-departmental projects and the further development of internal processes. Licences & Qualifications Completed degree with several years of relevant professional experience. Holding a Part-66 CAT B1 or CAT B2 aircraft maintenance licence is desirable. An EAT-relevant type rating entry or comparable is desirable. Fitness for shift work. Experience At least three years' experience in aircraft maintenance or aircraft servicing. Knowledge of aviation law (EASA and LBA regulations), airworthiness and operational procedures during flight operations. Knowledge of aircraft maintenance intervals, maintenance planning and the scheduling of maintenance work. Very good spoken and written English. Knowledge of MS Office and of programs such as AIMS, TRAX, AMOS and Netline is desirable.
