Role Overview Gama Aviation has a new opportunity for a Maintenance Control Centre Coordinator to join its newly created Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) Support Services team at Farnborough. The MCC provides a continuous 24/7/365 service to airlines operating Embraer E170, A320 and B737 series aircraft and all types of business jets, maintaining and ensuring the airworthiness of their fleets both at home and away from base. The position works in partnership with the customer and the wider group services to provide the airline with continued airworthiness, operations, flight planning, aviation software, maintenance and design engineering. To ensure customer satisfaction and business needs are met, the role works in unison with these teams to provide a total airworthiness and operational support solution. Working hours: shift pattern including a mixture of days and nights. Hybrid working can be agreed. Employment type: full-time (Air division). Key Responsibilities Attend scheduled operational briefs, issue operational priorities for the operator each day and pursue progress on each item Carry out a detailed handover of the customer fleet and open issues to the oncoming shift Liaise with the on-call out-of-hours support team as required Provide daily updates on short-term maintenance requirements Report the AOG status for each aircraft each day as part of the operational briefs and AOG flight issue status reports Interact with operational, continuing airworthiness and maintenance colleagues to ensure optimum aircraft availability and operational awareness, and to exceed customer expectations Review, update, maintain and report the serviceability status of the customer Embraer E170 fleet, ensuring accurate and correct data is displayed Receive aircraft data from customer aircraft and update the fleet status as required Deliver aircraft work packs to the customer, and short-term work packs to the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) for proposed nightly work Supply the customer with key planning information for their E170 fleet (currently two aircraft), including short-, medium- and long-term maintenance planning, out-of-phase and Airworthiness Directive (AD) planning, prioritisation of maintenance activities, coordination with the contracted AMO, maintenance and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) dispatch control, work package assignment to the AMO, and coordinating aircraft changes with the Operations Control Centre (OCC) Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers Report directly to the Head of Maintenance Management & Advisory Services and liaise with the Head of Aviation Delivery Liaise directly with the customer technical team Licences & Qualifications Essential: aeronautical engineering degree or equivalent qualification Advantageous: good understanding of Part-145, Part-M / CAMO and OTAR regulations Advantageous: unrestricted UK CAA Part-66 Licence Category B1 Experience Essential: extensive experience working in an aviation engineering / airworthiness environment Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate technical issues to engineers and flight crew clearly Sound cost awareness within continued airworthiness and maintenance Self-motivated, with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines efficiently Developed analytical and investigative skills, maintaining accuracy and output Effective written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive team member Advantageous: MCC and/or line maintenance experience What We Offer Good work-life balance with a hybrid working policy — three days in the office, two days from home Competitive salary Competitive group pension scheme Comprehensive life assurance (subject to insurance underwriting) Comprehensive income protection (subject to insurance underwriting) Comprehensive travel insurance (subject to insurance underwriting) Comprehensive private healthcare after successfully passing probation (subject to insurance underwriting) Free car parking Two paid volunteering days each calendar year, subject to line manager approval Investment in training, qualifications and professional development Additional Information Employment type: full-time. Requirements
