Role Overview As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer at RNAS Yeovilton, near Yeovil in Somerset, you will help deliver safe, airworthy and mission-ready aircraft for the customer. Working within a highly skilled aviation team, you will lead engineering maintenance activities, ensure regulatory compliance and support the release to service of aircraft in a fast-paced operational environment, applying your expertise across line and depth maintenance. Location: Yeovil, Somerset. Compensation: £49,016.78 plus benefits. Role type: full time, permanent. Role ID: SF75434. The role is based on site at RNAS Yeovilton and is full time, 40 hours per week on a 4-in-7 shift pattern including weekends. Key Responsibilities Lead aircraft maintenance activities and supervise technicians and inspectors. Ensure all engineering work is completed in accordance with aviation regulations and company procedures. Certify and release aircraft to service following maintenance activities. Maintain high standards of safety, quality and airworthiness across all engineering tasks. Collaborate with customers, operational teams and engineering stakeholders to deliver serviceable aircraft. Licences & Qualifications CAA Part-66 B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence. Full UK driving licence. Ability to demonstrate the practical and theoretical standards required for the role. Experience Demonstrable aircraft engineering experience within a regulated aviation environment. Supervisory experience within an aviation environment, with proven ability to lead and support teams during maintenance activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while adapting to changing priorities. Excellent planning, organisation and decision-making capabilities.
