Location: Broughton (Minimum 60% onsite)
Contract: 6-month contract (likely extension)
Rate: £25.27 per hour PAYE / £33.79 per hour umbrella
Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible working between 7am-7pm)
IR35: Inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS+ required (arranged by our client)

Our client in the Aerospace Industry is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join their Internal Audit team in Broughton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a quality and auditing background who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, supporting audit programmes and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Audit Manager, the Internal Auditor will support the preparation and execution of internal audits, contribute to audit planning activities, and help maintain effective internal surveillance systems across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Quality Audit Managers in the management of internal surveillance audit programmes.
  • Assist with internal audit planning, roadmap updates, and reporting activities.
  • Prepare documentation and records required for audit execution.
  • Support auditors during audit activities, including note-taking and report preparation.
  • Record audit information within audit management systems.
  • Draft and document audit findings alongside the wider audit team.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the Internal Audit function.
  • Help maintain effective governance, compliance, and quality standards.

About You

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience within a quality, auditing, or compliance environment.
  • Understanding of audit processes, reporting, and surveillance activities.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, production, or quality-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A structured and methodical approach to work.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within the aerospace sector.
  • Knowledge of Business Management Systems (BMS).
  • Experience supporting internal audits and quality surveillance programmes
