Industrial Leader

Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking an Industrial Leader on an initial 6-month contract to join our client's Manufacturing Engineering team in Filton.

The client is offering up to £39.00 per hour Umbrella, the role is Inside of IR35. This is initially site based whilst getting up to speed and will then move to hybrid working with minimum 3 days required on-site per week

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in advanced manufacturing and engineering, is seeking an experienced Industrial Leader to support design-to-cost projects and industrialisation for serial programmes. This is a pivotal role that bridges engineering, operations, and supplier collaboration to ensure seamless production and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support design-to-cost initiatives and industrialisation activities for serial programmes.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and internal UK-based design, tooling, and operations teams.
• Act as the main interface between the plant and suppliers for series programme activities.
• Ensure effective communication with procurement and other key stakeholders.
• Provide manufacturing expertise to support both internal plants and external suppliers.

Main Activities:

• Transfer of Work: Support supplier selection and industrialisation through established business processes.
• Plant Disruption: Lead or support resolution of technical issues affecting plant operations or supply continuity.
• Design/Manufacturing Changes: Engage in continuous product development, applying concurrent engineering and industrialisation expertise.
• Cost Reduction: Identify and influence cost drivers to support cost-down initiatives.
• Risk & Opportunity Management: Integrate with the wider business network to manage risks and leverage opportunities.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive standardisation and harmonisation across suppliers and processes, delivering measurable value.

Required Experience:

• Multi-skilled in detail part and assembly manufacture, or assembly and installation processes.
• Experience with metallic or composite products and associated tooling.
• Strong background in manufacturing engineering and supplier collaboration.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Given the role's nature, the selected candidate will undergo BPSS clearance before commencing.
