Role Overview STS Technical Services is recruiting an experienced Instrument Flight Rules Helicopter Pilot to support air medical transport operations for a leading provider based in Greenville, Kentucky. Pilots conduct critical-care transport missions, providing rapid medical response in challenging and diverse environments. You will operate EC135 aircraft as Captain under IFR and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) conditions, delivering life-saving patient transport with professionalism and precision. Operations run 24 hours per day with rotating day and night schedules. Aircraft and Operational Details Aircraft: EC135 Location: Greenville, Kentucky Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off rotation 24-hour operational coverage Day and night flight operations IFR and NVG operations Key Responsibilities Perform line pilot duties in accordance with operational procedures Operate the EC135 helicopter safely during air medical transport missions Assist with patient and equipment loading as required Follow strict safety protocols and participate in safety campaigns Support community outreach programmes Coordinate with medical crews for efficient patient transport Licences & Qualifications Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate Instrument Rating (IFR) First Class FAA Medical Experience 2,000 total flight hours 1,500 helicopter flight hours 1,000 hours PIC helicopters 500 hours turbine helicopters 100 hours unaided night operations, or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours NVG 75 hours instrument flight (actual and hood) Requirements Maximum body weight: 235 lbs Ability to assist with lifting up to 100 pounds during patient or equipment loading Must pass pre-placement physical, drug screen and background check Strong communication and customer service skills Interview and acceptance by management required Candidates must reside within one hour of the base location 7 days on / 7 days off rotation; base schedule may rotate depending on operational needs What We Offer Sign-on bonus up to $50,000 Competitive base pay, shift bonuses and annual safety and performance bonuses Relocation assistance may be available
