About the Company Mesa Airlines is a United States regional air carrier operating under FAR Part 121 with a fleet that includes Bombardier CRJ700/900 and Embraer 170-190 series aircraft. Role Overview The Ground Instructor provides classroom training for new hire, upgrade and recurrent pilots in accordance with FSIMS and the Mesa Airlines, Inc. ground training programme requirements. Key Responsibilities Maintain courseware applicable to pilot ground training. Conduct initial, upgrade and recurrent pilot training classes. Update course outlines as necessary in line with changing regulations. Take responsibility for syllabus changes as necessary. Monitor and track ground and flight training. Evaluate candidate performance and compliance with Mesa Airlines, Inc. policies and procedures in accordance with the appropriate Mesa Airlines, Inc. training programmes. Licences & Qualifications Commercial certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings. High school diploma and/or GED equivalent. Preferred: ATP with appropriate category and class ratings. Experience Knowledge of Microsoft software programs. Preferred: knowledge of FAR 121 pilot training requirements; crewmember experience in a FAR 121 operation. Requirements Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Must be detail oriented. Must be able to work flexible hours and work schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Self-starter, enthusiastic, dependable and a professional team player.
