Job Description

Role Overview Gateway Select is JetBlue's highly selective pilot pathway programme, designed to develop aspiring aviators into professional airline pilots through a rigorous training programme. Candidates complete a comprehensive selection process to identify individuals with the aptitude, commitment and professionalism to succeed as future JetBlue pilots. The programme develops technical proficiency, sound decision-making, professionalism and airline readiness through structured flight training, early exposure to multi-crew operations, Crew Resource Management (CRM), Threat and Error Management (TEM) and advanced simulator training. Throughout the programme, participants are expected to dedicate themselves full time to their training while consistently meeting JetBlue's standards of safety, performance and professionalism. On successful completion of all programme requirements, including obtaining an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, participants transition to JetBlue's First Officer new hire training programme before beginning their careers as JetBlue pilots. Key Responsibilities Gateway Select has the following training and experience-building framework: Introduction to JetBlue and the flight training partner Primary training: Private Pilot through Commercial Multi-Engine certificate Instructor training: CFI/CFII training Airline preparation course: jet training at JetBlue University Employment with the flight training partner as a Flight Instructor New hire training as a JetBlue First Officer Requirements High school diploma or General Education Development diploma (GED) Must successfully complete all required and applicable assessments Eligible candidates must not exceed a Private Pilot certificate upon beginning the programme Must upload a First Class medical certificate at the time of application Must upload a U.S. passport, or a U.S. permanent residence card with foreign passport and applicable visas, allowing free entry to and exit from all destinations without restriction Must be 23 years old by the completion of the approximately 3.5-year programme Must successfully complete the entire selection process, including application, assessment and interview On completion of the programme, must be able to meet all requirements in JetBlue's Pilot Trainee requisition Additional Information Requisition reference (JetBlue job id): 1425620800.

Requirements
