The Fuel Commercial and Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the commercial and operational aspects of aviation fuel supply, with a primary focus on annual fuel procurement, supplier management, and cost optimization. The role ensures a reliable fuel supply to support operational continuity while maintaining effective cost control and contract management.

Fuel Procurement and Commercial Management
- Lead the annual aviation fuel procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and commercial evaluation. Manage relationships with fuel suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing
- Prepare and conclude RFP’s for fuel bids and larger airport service supplies
- Oversee fuel contracts, commercial terms, and make recommendations for fuel pricing changes
- Negotiate/ renegotiate operational fees and charges with airports
Operational Fuel Management
- Ensure continuous availability and efficient distribution of fuel to support operational requirements
- Monitor fuel consumption trends and operational performance related to fuel usage
- Coordinate fuel supply planning with operational teams to support daily and seasonal operations
- Develop and maintain fuel management procedures to ensure operational efficiency
Sustainability and Environmental Impact
- Support initiatives addressing the environmental impact of aviation fuel, including fuel efficiency and sustainability programs
- Work closely with the Sustainability team on fuel-related, regulatory developments, and sustainability initiatives such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Ground Operations Commercial team to ensure alignment between fuel procurement strategies, operational requirements, and commercial performance
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Sustainability, and Ground Operations teams on fuel-related initiatives and reporting
- Manage relationships with external fuel suppliers and service providers
What you will need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Legal or related field
- Experience in fuel procurement, aviation operations, supply chain, or commercial management of more than 2 years
- Experience managing supplier contracts and procurement processes
- Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills
- Knowledge of fuel procurement and supply chain management
- Analytical and financial management capabilities
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills
- Operational problem-solving and risk management
- Excellent Latvian and English language skills
- Decision-making skills
