About the Company Airbus Canada Limited Partnership runs the A220 commercial aircraft programme, headquartered in Mirabel, Quebec, in the greater Montreal area. The Airbus Canada Training Centre is responsible for conceiving, building and delivering flight training and flight operations support so that Airbus aircraft are operated safely, efficiently and effectively. Role Overview The A220 commercial aircraft programme is looking for a Flight Instructor Simulator - Type II Instructor to join its Customer Services organisation in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will represent Airbus Canada in front of customers, operators and authorities. The role involves working with teams around the world and offers scope to develop expertise across different domains and roles, including management and project positions. Key Responsibilities Conduct the best possible training and checking according to your qualifications within Airbus Canada Training, to ensure safe and efficient entry into service and operation of the Airbus A220 (BD-500). Instruct airline crews converting to the Airbus A220 on all operational and technical aspects, using fixed base simulators, classroom and virtual classroom, Airbus pilot training devices, FSTDs, OTDs and full flight simulators (FFS). Work on different projects on demand within the Training and Flight Operations organisation (TFOS). Represent Airbus Canada Training and the manufacturer in front of the customer, taking a proactive role to identify potential problems and find solutions. Carry out standardisation, development and management tasks during your career within Airbus Canada. Maintain and upgrade your own competences in line with your qualification. Give stand-up lectures so that airline crews can carry out safely and correctly all normal and emergency procedures required by the airworthiness authorities and reach the required level of standard proficiency. Adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardisation as required by Airbus Flight Training Operations. Instruct crews within the defined time limits and evaluate crew progression. Decide, where necessary, whether an extra session is needed to achieve the required level of proficiency. Participate in course development and/or standardisation instruction on demand. Licences & Qualifications Hold or have held a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and frozen ATPL, or an ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) as a pilot. Fluent in English. Experience Required: a minimum of 3,000 hours as a pilot. Required: a minimum of 1,500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA). Required: a minimum of three years of commercial aviation experience as a pilot on FAR 25 / CS 25 or FAR 23 / CS 23 aircraft in multi-pilot operation (MPO), preferably on Airbus aircraft. Required: evidence-based training / competency-based training assessment expertise. Qualified (current) and experienced as Captain and Flight Instructor on the BD-500 (an asset). A Synthetic Flight Instructor authorisation or experience as an instructor (an asset). Examiner experience (an asset). Managerial experience (an asset) and a project-management mindset.
