Job Description

Role Overview Westair Aviation (Pty) Ltd has this vacancy available and invites all suitably qualified candidates to apply on or before 30 September 2026. The company is seeking skilled and experienced pilots; as a pilot you will be responsible for safely operating the aircraft and ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers and crew. Key Responsibilities Operate aircraft in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Conduct pre-flight inspections and review flight plans and weather conditions. Communicate with air traffic control and navigate during flights. Perform take-offs and landings, managing aircraft systems and controls. Respond to emergency situations and take the action necessary to ensure safety. Collaborate with co-pilots, cabin crew and ground personnel for smooth flight operations. Maintain accurate records of flight activities and comply with reporting requirements. Participate in ongoing training and professional development. Requirements Captain ERJ 135/145 Valid ATPL licence. ERJ 145/135 rating is a requirement. Minimum 3,000 hours total time. P1 on the ERJ with a minimum of 500 hours PIC. Minimum 1,500 hours total PIC on multi-engine turbine or jet aircraft. Willing to travel for extensive periods of six to twelve weeks in Africa. Preference will be given to Namibian citizens. First Officer ERJ 135/145 Valid SACAA or NCAA CPL/ATPL licence. ERJ 145/135 rating is a requirement. Minimum 1,000 hours total time. Minimum 100 hours on type. Minimum 100 hours on multi-engine turbine. Willing to travel for extensive periods of six to twelve weeks in Africa. Preference will be given to Namibian citizens.
