Job Description

About the Company STARFLYER INC., head office at 6 Kuko Kitamachi, Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture (STARFLYER head office building). Recruitment is handled by the Flight Crew Recruitment team in the Flight Operations Division. Role Overview Mid-career recruitment of flight crew (first officer candidates) holding an A320 type rating. Approximately two positions are available. Duties on joining: flight crew duties. Scope of change: duties determined by the company. Place of work on joining: Kitakyushu Airport or Haneda Airport; training is conducted at the Kitakyushu Airport facility. Scope of change: a location designated by the company; transfers and relocation are possible. Requirements Hold a JCAB Commercial Pilot Licence and an instrument flight certificate Have experience flying as a first officer with a Japanese scheduled airline Hold an A320 type rating, having been away from A320 flying for less than three years Hold an aeronautical radio operator licence (or a licence recognised as equivalent or higher) Hold a valid Class 1 aviation medical certificate Hold aviation English proficiency certification at level 4 or above Applicants who have previously flown for StarFlyer may also apply. What We Offer Employment type: long-term employee (permanent staff); under 60 years of age, as the retirement age is 60 (exception clause no. 1). No fixed contract term. Three-month probationary period from joining. Start date as designated by the company. Working hours: shift work under a variable working hours system, calculated monthly, averaging no more than 40 hours per week over the month. Overtime: yes. Salary: in accordance with company regulations. Pay is calculated under internal regulations based on job content, required qualifications, years of practical experience and previous career history; details are explained individually at interview. Allowances: flight duty allowance, overtime allowance, holiday working allowance, late-night working allowance and others. Pay rises: regular pay rises in accordance with company regulations; pay revision once a year, in April. Bonus: yes. In financial year 2025 it was paid twice, in summer and winter. It may not be paid, depending on company performance. Days off: 121 days per year (around 10 days per month). Leave: annual paid leave, maternity leave before and after childbirth, childcare leave and nursing care leave. Insurance: full social insurance (health insurance, employees' pension insurance, employment insurance and workers' accident compensation insurance).
