Role Overview Norse Atlantic is seeking highly skilled and motivated First Officers. As a First Officer you play a critical role in the safe, efficient and professional operation of the airline's Boeing 787 aircraft, working closely with the Captain and cabin crew to deliver a friendly, welcoming service while meeting all safety and regulatory standards. Assessments start as early as Thursday 23 July 2026. Key Responsibilities Flight operations Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the Boeing 787 during all phases of flight, including pre-flight planning, taxi, take-off, cruise and landing. Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, reviewing aircraft systems, performance calculations and weather conditions. Review and verify weight and balance, performance data and NOTAMs before departure. Operate aircraft systems and controls in line with standard operating procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Monitor aircraft performance, navigation and communication systems in flight. Safety and compliance Adhere to all company policies, aviation regulations and international standards. Ensure compliance with the safety management system (SMS) and report safety concerns or incidents promptly. Take part in regular simulator training, proficiency checks and emergency procedure drills to maintain qualifications. Crew resource management Work as part of a cohesive flight crew, fostering effective communication, decision-making and teamwork. Communicate effectively with ATC, ground crew and cabin crew to ensure smooth operations. Support the Captain in maintaining a positive and professional cockpit environment. Assist with cabin crew briefings and address passenger-related concerns when required. Customer service and administration Contribute to a positive passenger experience through timely, smooth operations and act as a brand ambassador with passengers, crew and ground staff. Complete accurate and timely flight logs, reports and documentation. Stay up to date on company manuals, operational procedures and regulatory changes. Take part in post-flight debriefs to identify improvements and support continuous learning. Requirements Good command of spoken and written English. Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, navigation and meteorology. Excellent situational awareness, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational conditions. Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom. Licences & Qualifications An ATPL, or a CPL with instrument rating (CPL/IR), issued by the UK CAA. A Class 1 medical certificate issued by the UK CAA. Extended (Level 5) or expert (Level 6) English language proficiency endorsed on the licence. Boeing 787 type rating, or willingness to complete type rating training. Experience Minimum 500 hours total flight time as pilot on multi-pilot (CS-25) aircraft. Preference is given to applicants with previous Boeing experience and more than 2,000 hours on a multi-crew jet aircraft.
