About the Company Smartwings is a long-established Czech airline and the largest Czech air carrier, founded in 1997. It operates charter and scheduled flights from operational bases in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, France and the Canary Islands, serving over 300 airports worldwide throughout the year. Role Overview Smartwings is looking for qualified and ambitious pilots to join its Boeing 737 fleet as non-type-rated First Officers, attending the B737NG initial type rating course. Requirements No criminal record No incident record Valid (unrestricted) EU passport Yellow fever vaccination Proven cooperation and teamwork skills Excellent communication skills with advanced CRM traits Stress management in an ever-changing work environment Task-sharing and delegation skills Leadership and managerial skills focused on teamwork in an international environment Overall problem-solving and decision-making skills, including those expected of an aviation professional A high level of situational awareness and the ability to keep improving on this key skill Successful completion of the company selection screening (contents and conditions are sent personally) Licences & Qualifications An applicant for a B737 300-900 type rating attending the B737NG initial type rating course shall: Hold an ATPL(A); or hold a CPL(A) and have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations in accordance with Part-FCL Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate Hold or have held a multi-engine IR(A) Hold a valid ICAO language proficiency check to at least Level 4 An applicant for whom the B737 300-900 type rating is the first multi-pilot type rating shall additionally: Have at least 70 hours as PIC of aeroplanes Have completed an advanced UPRT course for aeroplanes in accordance with FCL.745.A Should have completed an MCC course (not mandatory, but an advantage) What We Offer Permanent contract or self-employed contract Contract starting 1 November 2025 Bases: Prague (PRG), Bratislava (BTS), Budapest (BUD), Katowice (KTW), Warsaw (WAW) A wide range of operations, from short-haul to intercontinental flights Career development Adequate wage evaluation Opportunity to take part in ACMI contracts Modern aircraft fleet Additional Information Smartwings invites candidates seeking a career that allows them to grow and develop in a modern, professional setting to apply today and become part of the airline.
