Job Description

About the Company Tropic Ocean Airways is the largest seaplane operator in the Eastern United States. In 2017 the airline safely transported nearly 20,000 passengers to destinations across Florida, the Northeast United States, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Its fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft is highly versatile and capable of landing safely on both water and land. Role Overview We are looking for second-in-command pilots to join our growing team of seaplane aviators. Licences & Qualifications FAA Commercial ASEL (airplane single-engine land) FAA Commercial ASES (airplane single-engine sea) At least a Second Class medical certificate FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit Valid US passport or green card Experience Preferred: G1000 experience, turbine time, Cessna 208 experience and seaplane experience Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lb repeatedly, sit or stand for extended periods and climb stairs throughout the day Interested, willing and able to work in various locations as required What We Offer Medical, dental and vision cover Voluntary life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Optional 401(k) Partnership travel privileges on certain airlines Additional Information This is a full-time salaried position, offered with a minimum one-year contract.

Requirements

  • FAA Commercial ASEL (airplane single-engine land)
  • FAA Commercial ASES (airplane single-engine sea)
  • At least a Second Class medical certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Valid US passport or green card
