About the Company Sun Country Airlines flies the Boeing 737NG (737-800) across three separate business types: scheduled airline service, military charters, and a wide variety of seasonal leisure travel and event-based charters. The network covers the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), the Caribbean and Europe. The airline continues to grow in both fleet size and service. Role Overview Sun Country Airlines is currently accepting applications for First Officer positions on the Boeing 737NG. Requirements Minimum qualifications to apply: Legal authorisation to work in the United States Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand English Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate FCC radio licence Valid US passport, or valid passport with Green Card, and the ability to travel to and from all cities and countries served by Sun Country Valid US driver's licence High school diploma, GED or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred Recent flight experience preferred Licences & Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following certificate and flight time routes. ATP certificate holder - 1,500 hours minimum: 1,500 hours total At least 23 years old 500 hours cross country 100 hours night 75 hours instrument 50 hours multi-engine (25 actual and up to 25 hours simulator time) Restricted ATP eligible - 1,500 hours minimum: 1,500 hours total, of which up to 100 hours may be simulator time 250 hours PIC in an airplane At least 21 years old 200 hours cross country (100 of which must be PIC cross country in an airplane) 100 hours night (25 of which must be PIC night in an airplane) 75 hours instrument 25 hours multi-engine Successful completion of an ATP/CTP course and a current ATP written exam Restricted ATP eligible - 1,250 hours minimum (aviation college background): 1,250 total hours, of which up to 100 hours may be simulator time 250 hours PIC in an airplane Graduated from an FAA Part 141 accredited school with an associate degree and at least 30 credit hours earned in an aviation major At least 21 years old 200 hours cross country (100 of which must be PIC cross country in an airplane) 100 hours night (25 of which must be PIC night in an airplane) 75 hours instrument 25 hours actual multi-engine Successful completion of an ATP/CTP course and a current ATP written exam Restricted ATP eligible - 1,000 hours minimum (aviation college background): 1,000 total hours, of which up to 100 hours may be simulator time 250 hours PIC in an airplane Graduated from an FAA Part 141 accredited school with a bachelor's degree and at least 60 credit hours earned in an aviation major At least 21 years old 200 hours cross country (100 of which must be PIC cross country in an airplane) 100 hours night (25 of which must be PIC night in an airplane) 75 hours instrument 25 hours multi-engine Successful completion of an ATP/CTP course and a current ATP written exam Restricted ATP eligible - 750 hours minimum (military background): 750 total hours, of which up to 100 hours may be simulator time 250 hours PIC in an airplane Graduated from a US Armed Forces undergraduate pilot training school and received a rating qualification as a military pilot At least 21 years old 200 hours cross country (100 of which must be PIC cross country in an airplane) 100 hours night (25 of which must be PIC night in an airplane) 75 hours instrument 25 hours actual multi-engine Successful completion of an ATP/CTP course and a current ATP written exam What We Offer All benefits below are provided on the first day of class as a Sun Country First Officer. Requirements
- Legal authorisation to work in the United States
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- FCC radio licence
- Valid US passport, or valid passport with Green Card, and the ability to travel to and from all cities and countries served by Sun Country
- Valid US driver's licence
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Recent flight experience preferred
- 1,500 hours total
- At least 23 years old
- 500 hours cross country
- 100 hours night
- 75 hours instrument
- 50 hours multi-engine (25 actual and up to 25 hours simulator time)
- 1,500 hours total, of which up to 100 hours may be simulator time
