About the Company Piedmont Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is actively seeking First Officer candidates to fly its fleet of Embraer 145 regional jets at the Philadelphia, PA, Charlotte, NC and Harrisburg, PA crew bases. Role Overview Join Piedmont as a First Officer on the Embraer 145 and maximise your career earnings; longevity from your current airline can be carried over to earn more. Requirements Valid United States passport, or a valid passport with authorisation to work in the United States. High school diploma or GED. Licences & Qualifications ATP or Restricted ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating. FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit. Current First Class medical certificate. Preferred: type rating in a Part 25 aircraft. Experience 500 hours of flight time, 50 hours of multi-engine time and 250 hours as Pilot in Command, or meet the requirements for a Restricted ATP. Preferred: current employment in a pilot position. What We Offer Pay First Officer hourly wage scale, years 1 to 5 (rates effective 29 June 2023 / 29 June 2024): year 1 $93.00 / $96.00; year 2 $100.50 / $103.50; year 3 $108.00 / $111.00; year 4 $111.75 / $114.75; year 5 $111.75 / $114.75. Bring your longevity from another Part 121 carrier and start on steps 2 to 15. High Time First Officers with 600 hours qualify for the High Time First Officer Bonus. 100 percent trip cancellation and deadhead pay, with a 4-hour minimum day guarantee. Training Company-provided ATP/CTP course, with testing fees covered and hotel provided during training. Training at the American Airlines Training Center in Charlotte. Insurance and retirement Medical insurance plan with a zero-dollar deductible; the employer pays 67% of the cost for the employee, and prescription and vision cover are included. Additional lower-cost plans are available. Dental insurance available with no-cost preventative care. 100% company-paid life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment cover. 401(k) available with a company contribution of 4% after one year of service. Schedule and travel Commuter hotel rooms: 6 per quarter at hub domiciles, 4 per month at non-hub domiciles. Bid on crew base assignments based on vacancies and seniority; long call reserve available. 11 minimum days off per month. Additional Information Captain upgrade: after 2,500 total hours and 1,000 Part 121 hours. Captains flow to mainline after five years of service, or are paid top of scale until they flow.
