Role Overview The First Officer supports the Commander in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight, carrying out allocated duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, including the procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft type. Key Responsibilities Carry out flight duties allocated by the Commander in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, aircraft-type limitations and performance data. Confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft and maintain a continuous, independent check on both its geographical position and its safe terrain clearance. Volunteer advice, information and assistance to the Commander that contributes to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. Seek and receive from the Commander any information or explanation needed to fulfil the First Officer role. Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the Company. Support the Commander by active example in developing and maintaining a high standard of professional expertise and morale among the crew. Report to the Commander any fault, failure, malfunction or defect believed to affect the airworthiness or safe operation of the aircraft, including emergency systems (CAT.GEN.MPA.100(b)). Use the Company's occurrence reporting scheme as set out in Chapter 11, unless the occurrence has already been reported by another crew member; in all such cases a copy of the report is communicated to the Commander concerned (ORO.GEN.160, CAT.GEN.MPA.100(b)(3)). Licences & Qualifications EASA Part-FCL ATPL, or CPL/IR with ATPL theory (frozen ATPL). EASA Part-MED Class 1 medical certificate. Experience Minimum 1,500 hours multi-pilot multi-engine on jet aircraft, or on turboprop aircraft with MTOW above 10 tonnes or seating capacity above 19 seats. Candidates with 2,000 hours on widebody aircraft will be considered for a Senior First Officer position. Requirements Above-average flying ability and impeccable safety standards. Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
