Role Overview Air New Zealand is seeking expressions of interest from pilots wanting to join its turboprop fleets, flying in the right-hand seat of an ATR or a Dash 8 Q300. Entry into the turboprop fleets is at First Officer level, with positions available across a number of bases around the country. It is a strong entry point whether you are looking for a career flying turboprops or a pathway to the jet fleet. As a First Officer on the Dash 8 Q300 or ATR you will play a pivotal role in flying customers to their destinations. Licences & Qualifications NZCAA CPL or ATPL (NZCAA ATPL, or all ATPL subjects passed, preferred) NZCAA multi-engine instrument rating NZCAA Class 1 medical NZCAA BTK/BGT endorsements Level 6 English Language Proficiency Experience 500 hours total time 25 night hours 40 hours instrument flight time Requirements New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or resident, or Australian citizen Ability to travel overseas, including a valid passport and any necessary visas Licence, rating and medical requirements must be met before an offer of employment. Applicants holding foreign-issued qualifications that could be converted to NZCAA licences may be considered while undertaking the conversion process with NZCAA. In that case you will need to complete the formal Foreign Licence Conversion initial process through Aspeq and provide a copy of the initial assessment letter before being invited to interview; refer to NZCAA for further information.
