About the Company Airblue is a Pakistani airline operating an Airbus A320-family fleet. Role Overview The MCC Engineer, in Airblue's Engineering department, guides and supports line maintenance staff and stakeholders in daily operations to keep a serviceable fleet available on time. Key Responsibilities Guide and support line maintenance staff and relevant stakeholders in daily operations to ensure the most efficient course of action is taken to provide a serviceable fleet on time. Coordinate daily operations with regard to technical issues and on-time performance, and set priorities in close cooperation with FOCC. Maintain up-to-date records of CAAF-114, delays, cannibalisation and one-off authorisations. Ensure an effective and consistent approach to setting, promoting and delivering the high standards of discipline needed in the workplace. Ensure the correct technical approach is adopted to return aircraft to service within the agreed flying programme. Liaise with ABQ line stations and outstations so that scheduled and unscheduled work is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner. Liaise with ABQ and FOCC/line stations to ensure a seamless operation. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Ensure any corrective action arising from the Quality Assurance programme is performed in a timely manner and effectively prevents recurrence of deficiencies. Review aircraft technical status in relation to deferred defects, spares, aircraft parts loans and any fleet-wide technical activity, to ensure maximum technical dispatch levels and high-quality maintenance standards. Ensure parts, consumables and expendables are ordered without delay once a fault is confirmed after troubleshooting. Coordinate with Fleet Management and Stores on demands to ensure on-time availability for rectification of ongoing MEL and non-MEL defects. Licences & Qualifications Licence: valid PCAA AME licence in category B1 or B2. Must hold a valid AME licence in CAT B1 or B2 (PCAA), or ICAO Type II, for types operated by Airblue, with in-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance and engineering. Preferred: graduate engineer from a PEC recognised university. Experience 10 to 15 years of work experience in a similar position. Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering, of which at least 6 years must be certification experience in the MCC department.
