Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor on an initial 6-month contract to join our Defence client's HR team in Filton.

The client is offering up to £27.00 per hour Umbrella, the role is Inside of IR35. This is hybrid opportunity with 3 days required on site per week.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting a dynamic and diverse workforce across multiple UK sites.

As an integral member of the HR function, you will provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, including complex industrial relations scenarios. Your work will ensure the fair and consistent application of policies and contribute to a positive and engaging employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise HR Business Partners and managers on employee relations issues including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance and absence management, and flexible working.
  • Manage industrial relations topics, liaising with employee representatives and interpreting collective agreements in line with current legislation.
  • Conduct impartial investigations into employee relations matters, producing detailed reports and recommending appropriate outcomes.
  • Identify and coordinate training needs related to employee and industrial relations for HRBPs, managers, and employees.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies to ensure legal compliance and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Learning & Development, and other HR teams to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor or similar role, ideally within a large multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and industrial relations frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities with a fair and objective approach.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across HR functions and contribute to wider HR initiatives.

Given the role's nature, the selected candidate will undergo BPSS clearance before commencing.
