Rate: £46.00/hour Umbrella | £34.39/hour PAYE
Duration: Until 15/08/2026 (with potential for extension)
Hours: 35 hours/week (4.5 days between 7am-7pm, flexible within business discretion)
Clearance: BPSS+ (to be completed by Our Client's security team)
IR35 Status: Off-payroll working rules apply
About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced Electrical Circuit Designer to join their Wing Engineering Design Team. This is a pivotal role within a major transformation programme that integrates the entire production system and supply chain into a seamless digital environment, while continuing to support legacy aerospace products.
You will be responsible for interpreting functional requirements and producing Principle Diagrams (PDs), Extended Principle Diagrams (EPDs), and Wiring Diagrams (WDs) using industry-standard tools such as Capital Logic and SeeXP. Your work will directly support the delivery of technical solutions aligned with design methods and project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate electrical installation design data for manufacturability.
- Interpret and update PDs, EPDs, and WDs based on new or revised functional requirements.
- Validate wiring architecture documentation at system level (ATA28 and ATA32).
- Ensure compliance with design processes and configuration management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure right-first-time delivery.
- Manage and mitigate risks, escalating where necessary.
- Use tools such as Capital Logic, SeeXP, Circe, ICC/ACP, Zamiz, ECM, DPDS, ACC2, BCAWD, Optegra, and PASS/VPM.
About You
You are a skilled Functional Electrics Engineer with:
- Proven experience in circuit design and integration across engineering functions.
- A track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in aerospace is desirable, but candidates from other industries will be considered.
- Approval signatory status is a plus, though not mandatory.
