Job Description

Role Overview Loganair is looking for experienced and dedicated Captains to join as Direct Entry Captains across all of its bases and fleets in the United Kingdom. The airline is seeking pilots who want to bring their leadership to the flight deck with a company that values professionalism, safety and team spirit. Key Responsibilities As a Captain you will hold full responsibility for the safety, security and operation of the aircraft, its crew and passengers, from the moment you arrive at the aircraft until engines are shut down after flight. Your leadership and judgement will be key to ensuring every journey is safe, efficient and in line with both regulatory and company standards. You will: Oversee all aspects of aircraft operation during flights. Make critical decisions during normal and non-normal operations. Lead and support the flight crew, setting a professional standard on board. Ensure all procedures are followed and adapted safely as needed. Set an example in communication, professionalism and safety culture. Requirements Loganair is looking for Captains with strong technical ability, excellent communication and a professional approach to leadership and crew collaboration. Essential: Full ATPL (UK CAA) with a current Class 1 medical. Essential: Currently or recently operating on a multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ passengers). Essential: 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command on a multi-crew aircraft with MTOW >10t or more than 19 seats, in a passenger commercial air transport operation. Essential: In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety practices and flight operations. Essential: Ability to stay calm under pressure and make timely, sound decisions. Essential: Proven teamwork and leadership skills. Essential: Right to live and work in the UK. Desirable: Valid ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 type rating. Additional Information Type-specific applications are subject to additional experience criteria.
