Rate: £33.51ph Umbrella / £25.05ph PAYE

About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Commercial Officer to join their team on a 6‑month contract, with strong potential for extension. This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a fast‑paced aviation environment, supporting the commercial execution of service, support, and training contracts for both civil and military customers.
This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, experience managing contracts end‑to‑end, and the ability to collaborate confidently with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for:
Contract & Commercial Management
- Managing full lifecycle delivery of "By the Hour" contracts from kick‑off to close‑out.
- Leading the development, drafting, and negotiation of service offers and contract amendments.
- Acting as the primary commercial contact for Sales and Customer Support teams.
- Monitoring contractual obligations, performance metrics, pricing renewals, and profitability.
Financial & Business Case Oversight
- Conducting financial analysis and maintaining accurate business case updates.
- Monitoring aircraft flying rates and ensuring timely consolidation of customer invoices.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Producing clear and concise commercial performance reports for leadership.
- Supporting customer requests for contract changes including buy‑ins and buy‑outs.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams across Sales, Production, Material Management, Maintenance, and Finance.
Continuous Improvement
- Contributing to ongoing enhancements in commercial and contract management processes.
- Maintaining robust contract registers for proactive renewal management.
About You - Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in commercial management, contract management, or a closely related field.
- Ability to support and participate in contract negotiations.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, including business case preparation.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capability.
- Excellent MS Office and GSuite skills.
