The Commercial Manager Ground Operations will be responsible for ensuring continuity of critical commercial and operational activities, maintaining compliance in procurement processes, and mitigating both operational and financial risks. We will entrust you to

  • Take responsibility for the preparation and coordination of Ground Handling service tender processes in whole airBaltic network according to company's tender process, undertaking contract analysis and cost model preparation
  • Take responsibility for strategic underpinning and operational delivery of forecasts
  • Highlight key risks and opportunities (operational and financial) to higher management, proposing new strategies and improvement actions
  • Negotiate cooperation terms and follow-up on quality and service provided by suppliers
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to the area of responsibility

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration and/or Law
  • At least three years of experience in airline industry
  • Experience in Ground handling operations will be considered an advantage
  • A self-motivated approach with an ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Strong computer skills, especially with MS Office, Excel and Word
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken. Other languages will be considered as an advantage
  • A strategic commercial mindset
  • Great communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationship at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Flexible to allocate significant share of time for business travel
