MHC Aviation Partner Company, Airborne Personnel, is looking for Chief Loadmaster on behalf of our client, Air Atlanta Icelandic, to lead and oversee Loadmaster operations across the network.
The role includes leading a team of approximately 70 professionals, working closely with internal and external partners, and maintaining currency as a Loadmaster. It combines operational oversight, people leadership, and continuous improvement.
Since its establishment in 1986, Air Atlanta Icelandic has focused on providing ACMI (Wet Lease) and Charter services to the passenger and cargo market worldwide. With a large and diverse customer base of airlines, tour operators, charter brokers, governments and non-profit organizations, it has evolved to become one of the largest ACMI Hajj operator in the world.
Role Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cargo aviation, including 3 years as a Loadmaster
• Strong knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations and Weight & Balance
• Proven leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding operational environment
• Experience on wide-body cargo aircraft is an advantage
• Holding a European Passport or the right to live and work in the EU
• Fluent in written and spoken English
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee Loadmaster operations across the network
• Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to company and industry standards (including IOSA)
• Manage and develop procedures, training, and team performance
• Collaborate with stakeholders and support operational issue resolution
• Contribute to staffing, planning, and continuous improvement
