Job Summary

Cretan Eagle Aviation (CEA) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) to provide high-quality flight and/or simulator instruction (where applicable) in compliance with EASA regulations, approved Training Manuals, and internal CEA policies. The successful candidate will coordinate and schedule student activities, ensure training standards are met, maintain accurate records, and support the Head of Training (HoT) in maintaining the highest level of instructional delivery and operational safety.

Eligibility for theoretical instruction will be considered if applicable.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Familiarize students with CEA policies, procedures, and flight training courses
  • Perform those flight instructor duties authorized by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) in accordance with the approved Training Courses Manuals
  • Ensure all students understand and practice all aspects of CEA`s Safety Program. Regularly schedule each assigned student to ensure satisfactory progress through the course and immediately inform supervisor of any delays in training process or other irregularities
  • Responsible for accurately maintaining all appropriate records to include student training record, student logbook, and computer records
  • Ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students as stipulated in the applicable Training Courses Manuals
  • Initiate stage check requests for assigned students
  • Responsible for the timely course completion of all flight students assigned, including completion of required paperwork
  • Monitor the maintenance condition of the training aircraft, and inform CEA`s personnel of any questionable items
  • Recommend curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate
  • File incident reports as necessary to report any observed safety violations, or situations that may affect the safety of flight
  • Attend administrative, standardization, internal training, and instructor development meetings as required
  • Provide assistance and/or other relevant supporting materials to instruct students of various levels of experience, ability, and background, as assigned by the Head of Training (HoT)
  • Participate in standardization meetings, internal training, and instructor development sessions

Candidate Profile – Minimum Qualifications

Must hold an EASA Certificated Flight Instructor

Must hold a current CPL (A)

Must hold a current Airplane Single Engine Land (valid)

May hold a current Instrument Rating (RI) and Multi-Engine (ME) ratings (optional)

Must hold a current EASA Medical Certificate 2

May hold superior education / College degree in Aviation and / or management

Must have strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills

Must have basic Computer’s skills (MS-Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Must hold valid Driving License (Category B, EU)

Must be able to successfully meet all Airport and other clearance requirements, as requested

Must be able to successfully pass drug and alcohol testing program, if required
