Job Description

Role Overview Chief Flight Instructor, India, with AIRBUS SAS in New Delhi. The jobholder manages the local standardisation team and reports to the Chief Flight Instructor of the Worldwide ATO in respect of the delegation as local Chief Flight Instructor. Permanent, full-time contract; experience level: professional. Key Responsibilities Manage the local standardisation team and ensure local standardisers' wellbeing. Ensure flight instructors meet the competency requirements defined in Airbus Training standards, and that instructor training and/or standardisation forms are completed in accordance with applicable procedures. Propose specific training as per A60.4 when applicable, and provide feedback supporting continuous improvement of the Airbus Flight Crew Training Operations Manual — Personnel Training — A60.4. Act as standardisation trainer and evaluator. Participate in worldwide and regional standardisation workshops and in the Worldwide ATO Core Team. Disseminate relevant information to flight instructors and provide input to the flight instructor technical booklet. Organise and run local Notice Observations (NO) and No Notice Observations (NNO). Participate in the Advanced Flight Instructor Standardisation Council on request, and in working groups defined by the Chief Flight Instructor of the Worldwide Airbus ATO. Provide support to other training centres on request of the Chief Flight Instructor of the Worldwide Airbus ATO. Provide the monthly feedback for the Worldwide ATO List of Instructors. Support the development and execution of the recurrent training and checking programme, and promote the Airbus Flight Training Reference. Keep proficiency as a Type III instructor and examiner, devoting at least 10% of working time to flying activities. Allocate up to 10% of working time to customer simulator sessions as an instructor (production). Continually promote the safety policy to all personnel and take part in SMS initiatives. Convene and document all interviews and follow-up action required in cases of sub-standard performance. Support the local Head of Training on compliance with Airbus requirements and internal rules. Control and validate the competency management plan of the training centre's local instructors, in coordination with the local Competence Manager. Licences & Qualifications Required (TRI/TRE pre-requisites): hold a valid EASA licence with Airbus FBW type rating and TRI(r) and LIFUS approval on the relevant aircraft type (A320/A330/A350 — FBW). Required: valid Class 1 medical without restriction to fly as Captain. Required: hold or have held a Low Visibility Operations (LVO) qualification. Required: hold or have held an Extended Range Operations for Two-Engine Aeroplane (ETOPS) qualification. Required: fluent English. Airbus Standardizer qualification is a plus; airline management background is a plus. Experience Minimum 5,000 hours as a pilot. Minimum 3,000 hours on jet large aircraft above 50t MTOW. Minimum 1,000 hours as Captain on Airbus aircraft. Minimum 500 hours of instructor experience in a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) on large aircraft. Minimum 500 hours as Captain assigned to conduct Line Flying Under Supervision (LIFUS)/IOE. Minimum five years of commercial aviation experience as a pilot on FAR 25 / CS 25 or FAR 23 / CS 23 aircraft in multi-pilot operation (MPO), preferably on Airbus aircraft. Requirements
