Role Overview The Certifying Staff, based in the Technical Services Business Unit, performs aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable procedures, regulations and requirements. The position is open to foreign nationals. Key Responsibilities Issue the Certificate of Release to Service on Air Mauritius aircraft as well as customers' aircraft. Work on a shift system and, where required, at outstations. Supervise the work performed by technicians and assistants and ensure the required standards are met. Work effectively and contribute to maintaining dispatch reliability at an acceptable level. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to trainees, assistants and technicians, among others. Licences & Qualifications Licence: valid EASA or MCAR Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence in category B1 and/or B2. Type authorisation: valid Aircraft Type Authorisation Document issued by a maintenance organisation approved by the Mauritius Department of Civil Aviation or by an EASA Part-145 approved maintenance organisation, as certifying staff in category B1 and/or B2. The type authorisation must cover at least one of the following aircraft types: ATR 72-500/600, A330 (Trent 700 / Trent 7000), A350, A320/321, B777. Requirements Full familiarity with the Mauritius Civil Aviation Regulations and/or EASA Part-145 requirements. Strong analytical, critical thinking, organisational, planning and problem-solving skills. Proactive and result-oriented, with a proven track record of delivery against targets. Ability and willingness to work both in the hangar and on the ramp, to tight deadlines and at unsocial hours including weekends and public holidays. Health and safety conscious. A team player with good integrity and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic. Requirements
