Role Overview Step into an exciting and rewarding role as a Captain, leading aircraft operations with precision and ensuring the highest standards of safety and service. As part of an elite team you will operate the Bombardier Global Express XRS fleet, providing exceptional experiences for clients while staying ahead of the curve in flight safety and operational excellence. The role reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations. Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the safety of all crew members, passengers and cargo on board. Ensure all operational procedures and checklists are complied with in accordance with the Operations Manual (FOM), and enforce strict use of checklists. Ensure all crew members occupy their stations prior to take-off, final approach and landing. Permit no crew activity during take-off, initial climb, final approach and landing other than duties required for the safe operation of the aircraft. Allow no flight data or cockpit voice recorder to be disabled or erased, unless data must be preserved for the investigation of an incident or accident and would otherwise be erased automatically. Coordinate work distribution within the flight crew to achieve the highest standard of airmanship. Ensure precise navigation and observation of minimum safe altitudes. Observe the limitations of all aircraft systems and ensure proper use and handling of the aircraft. Ensure usable fuel remaining is sufficient to reach an airport where a safe landing can be made, with final reserve fuel intact. Maintain close contact with the cabin crew so that all cabin safety requirements are met. Ensure flight and technical logs are completed, and file written occurrence and accident reports where necessary. Maintain familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, the JBJH/JBJS operations manual and agreed aviation practices. Maintain a high standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the company. Comply with the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO). Ensure all passengers are briefed on the location of emergency exits and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment. Licences & Qualifications Valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) with a current type rating on the Bombardier Global Express XRS. Valid FAA licence. Current Class 1 Medical Certificate. Experience Minimum 5,000 total flight hours. Minimum 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command on type. Experience in international operations and adverse weather conditions. Requirements Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation regulations and safety protocols. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Customer service and safety focused, with excellent people skills. Results driven, with high personal accountability, strong initiative and self-direction. Additional Information Work environment: The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. Noise levels are usually moderate, with occasional high volume as aircraft arrive and depart, and the environment can be loud. Frequent exposure to vibration and occasional fuel fumes should be expected. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions; the hangar environment can be extremely hot or cold in certain seasons.
