Job Description

Position Summary Step into an exciting and rewarding role as a Captain, where you’ll lead aircraft operations with precision, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service. As part of our elite team, you’ll operate the Bombardier Global Express XRS fleet, providing exceptional experiences for our clients while staying ahead of the curve in flight safety and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Flight Operations, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering world-class aviation services. Main Responsibilities Ensure the safety of all crew members, passengers and cargo onboard. Ensure that all operational procedures and checklists are complied with in accordance with the provisions of the Operations Manual (FOM). Ensure that all crew members occupy their stations prior to take-off, final approach and landing. Not permit any crew member to perform any activity during take-off, initial climb, final approach and landing except those duties required for the safe operation of the aircraft. Not allow any flight data and/or cockpit voice recorder to be disabled or erased, unless data needs to be conserved for the investigation of an incident or accident and would otherwise automatically be erased. Coordinate the work distribution within the flight crew to obtain a maximum of good airmanship for the conduct of the flight. Ensure precise navigation and observation of minimum altitudes. Observe the limitations of all aircraft systems and ensure the proper use and handling of the aircraft. Enforce the strict use of checklists. Ensure that the amount of usable fuel remaining suffices to proceed to an airport where a safe landing can be made, with final reserve fuel remaining. Maintain close contact with the cabin crew in order to ensure that all requirements concerning cabin safety are being followed. Ensure that the flight and technical logs are completed. File written occurrence and accident reports if the necessity arises. Maintain familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, the JBJH/JBJS operations manual and agreed aviation practices to fulfill the function. Maintain a high standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the company. Comply with the regulations contained in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO). Ensure that all passengers are briefed on the location of emergency exits and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment. Minimum Requirements Valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) with current type rating on Bombardier Global Express XRS. Minimum 5,000 total flight hours. Minimum 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on type. Valid FAA licence. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation regulations, and safety protocols. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in international operations and adverse weather conditions. Current Class 1 Medical Certificate. Desired Characteristics Customer service and safety focused. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircraft arrive/depart, and is usually loud; the employee is frequently exposed to vibration, and occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. The employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions, and the hangar environment may be extremely hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
