Job Description

Role Overview Mid-career recruitment for flight crew (captain candidates) at Solaseed Air. Job family: flight crew - captain candidate. Work location: Tokyo, Haneda Airport. Key Responsibilities Duties as captain on the Boeing 737 Requirements Aged 65 or under; a Boeing 737 type rating is not required (applicants with or without the type rating are equally welcome). Applicants aged 60 or over are employed as contract staff. Captain experience on multi-engine jet aircraft with a scheduled airline Applicants who have already reached the age of 65 at the time of application must have passed the supplementary aeromedical examination Residence: either living, or planning to live, in an area within 55 km commuting distance by public transport; or, under the regional residence scheme, living or planning to live near one of the following airports - Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Kagoshima, Okinawa (Ishigaki not eligible), Kobe, Chubu, Fukuoka, New Chitose, Asahikawa, Hakodate, Memanbetsu, Obihiro, Kushiro or Sendai Licences & Qualifications Airline transport pilot licence (Japanese airline transport pilot competence certificate) Valid Class 1 aviation medical certificate Aeronautical radio operator licence (required among the application documents) What We Offer Employment type: permanent employee with a three-month probationary period; contract staff also available Start date: to be discussed Work location: Haneda Airport. The company may require a change of work location where operationally necessary. Working pattern: irregular shift work including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with early-morning and late-night duties Pay: in accordance with company regulations. For those under 65 there is an income-support scheme during the captain-upgrade training period.
