Role Overview JetSMART is looking for Captains for Colombia. The purpose of the role is to exercise command, responsibility and safety for the operation of the aircraft during flight time, safely transporting crew, passengers, baggage and cargo from the departure airport to the destination airport. Key Responsibilities Fly the aircraft following pre-established routes and patterns. Prepare the flight plan and brief the crew on it. Check weather conditions for take-off, cruise and destination. Control aircraft weight and balance. Check the fuel load. Communicate with the control tower. Make decisions in the event of an emergency. Work as part of a team, with leadership and communication ability. Remain calm under pressure. Requirements Colombian nationality. Minimum age 28. Valid passport. Criminal record certificate. No accidents or incidents attributable to pilot factors. Attention to detail. Licences & Qualifications Commercial pilot licence. Valid aeromedical certificate (CMA). ICAO English level 4 or above. Experience Minimum 3,000 total flight hours. 1,000 flight hours as captain on an airline jet, or 3,000 flight hours as captain on the ATR.
