Role Overview Step into an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an Airbus Captain, taking command of aircraft operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, operational excellence and customer service. As part of the flight operations team you will operate the Airbus fleet, ensuring safe, efficient and professional flight operations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The role reports to the Director of Flight Operations. Key Responsibilities Assume overall responsibility for the safety of all crew members, passengers and cargo on board. Ensure all flight operations are conducted in line with the Company Operations Manual (FOM), Standard Operating Procedures, checklists and applicable regulatory requirements. Ensure all crew members are at their assigned stations prior to take-off, final approach and landing. Limit flight crew activity during critical phases of flight to what is necessary for safe operation. Ensure the flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) are operated and handled in accordance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate flight crew duties and workload for effective teamwork and the highest standards of airmanship. Ensure accurate navigation, compliance with minimum safe altitudes and adherence to operational flight requirements. Operate the aircraft within Airbus limitations and manage all aircraft systems correctly. Ensure strict adherence to aircraft checklists and standard operating procedures. Monitor fuel planning and maintain sufficient reserves, including required final reserve fuel, to complete the flight safely. Maintain effective communication and coordination with cabin crew so all cabin safety requirements are met. Complete flight documentation, technical logs and operational records accurately and promptly. Submit reports on incidents, occurrences or safety matters as required. Keep knowledge of aviation regulations, company procedures, Airbus operations and industry best practice up to date. Maintain a high standard of professionalism, discipline, conduct and appearance as a company representative. Ensure compliance with the Company Operations Manual (FOM), the Air Navigation Order (ANO) and all applicable aviation regulations. Ensure passengers receive appropriate safety briefings, including emergency exits and the use of safety and emergency equipment. Licences & Qualifications Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Valid FAA, EASA, UK or equivalent ICAO-recognised pilot licence. Current Class 1 Medical Certificate. A valid A320 type rating would be an advantage. Experience Minimum 1,000 hours of corporate aviation experience. Minimum 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command on a corporate jet. Experience operating international routes and in varying operational environments, including adverse weather. Requirements Strong knowledge of Airbus aircraft systems, operational procedures, aviation regulations and safety standards. Demonstrated leadership, decision-making and communication skills. Strong commitment to safety, professionalism and operational excellence. Additional Information Work environment: The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. Noise levels are usually moderate, with occasional high volume as aircraft arrive and depart, and the environment can be loud. Frequent exposure to vibration and occasional fuel fumes should be expected. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions; the hangar environment can be extremely hot or cold in certain seasons.
