We are looking for a CAMO Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. The CAMO Engineer is responsible for conducting the Airworthiness Reviews on company aircraft including the physical inspections and review of aircraft historical data to ensure that the aircraft remains airworthy. This requires ability to review physical and electronic data and to carry out inspections on aircraft of various types in a busy hangar environment. The CAMO Engineer makes recommendations to the CAMO Manager on any corrective actions required to improve and maintain the airworthiness on the fleet.


The key responsibilities of the CAMO Engineer are:

  • Supporting the review and assessment of aircraft maintenance history, modification application, component installations and repairs for the preparation of Airworthiness Renewals and recommendations
  • Supporting the analysis and review of airworthiness engineering data, including Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins maintenance program completeness
  • Actively involved in the improvement, development and embodiment of the Continuing Airworthiness Organisations process, procedures and work instructions to continually achieve the Operators Airworthiness Policies
  • Utilising the company MRO system to ensure fleet configuration standards and embodiment of airworthiness tasks. Running and interpreting MRO system reports on aircraft status and configuration and making changes as required to assure the airworthiness of the fleet
  • Carrying out Airworthiness Review Root Cause Corrective Actions meetings to trend ARC findings and suggest improvements or preventative actions to enhance the airworthiness of the fleet
  • Carry out physical inspections or surveys on new or used aircraft to assess them for company requirements and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and departmental objectives


The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A degree in aviation or a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionics, etc.) with a focus on aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness.
  • A UK CAA/EASA Part-66 B or C licence, with proficiency in the associated regulations
  • Substantial experience in CAMO department activities, Airworthiness Records or aircraft maintenance environment as a technician or maintenance staff or experience working in a safety and quality department
  • Experience in the use of Aviation ERP systems such as AMOS, SAP, IFS, Helisoft or Rusada is desirable
  • IT skills including the use of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to present technical subjects to audiences of differing technical abilities with credibility
  • Must be eligible to hold a CAA form 4
  • Be team orientated
  • Be able to demonstrate time management
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Must hold a passport valid for international travel
  • Must be eligible to hold UK/Aberdeen airport airside pass
  • Candidates must also have the right to live and work in the UK
