As the Base Supervisor at Flying Academy in Vienna, you will oversee the day-to-day operations at our training base, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Your responsibilities will include supervising ground staff, coordinating with flight instructors, and managing the overall logistics of flight training activities. You will be responsible for scheduling aircraft usage, ensuring adequate resources are available for training sessions, and maintaining a safe and organized training environment. Additionally, the Base Supervisor will be tasked with managing student schedules, addressing any operational issues that may arise, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also be responsible for communications with the local authorities. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Previous experience in aviation operations or management is preferred.

Who are we looking for?

  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory position and with administrative work in a diverse environment is preferred.
  • Flexibility in multitasking.
  • Outgoing and responsible personality
  • Knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Business Suite, and Salesforce is an advantage. 
  • Good communication skills, pleasant and friendly
  • Interest and knowledge in the field of aviation is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in coordination with authorities and governmental organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordination with company’s departments in other bases (e.g. marketing department, sales department)
  • Coordination with external parties involved (e.g. Austrian authorities, Airport Vöslau)
  • Overlooking the base LOAV in terms of compliance with Austrian laws
  • Management of new projects for the base LOAV
  • Basic administrative work and assistance (e.g.dispatching, andscheduling of flights)
  • First point of contact for students and instructors at the base.
  • Communication with students
  • Gathering and maintaining information, maintaining an electronic database, and overseeing all processes at the base.
  • Accepting and recording payments for services.
  • Creating reports of all events and activities at the base.
