Base Maintenance Aircraft Mechanics - Amsterdam


CAE Parc Aviation along with our esteemed partner KLM are excited to announce that we are currently actively recruiting for Aircraft Mechanics to work on the following aircraft types - B737/B777/B787 & A320/A330. This is a permanent position working directly with KLM. It offers a great work/life balance in a best-in-class work environment.

Main responsibilities:

After working hard with your team to deliver a Boeing 787 to your customer in perfect condition, you are on to the next team challenge: solve a complicated avionic task on the Boeing 777 that has just rolled in! As an Aircraft Mechanic, together with your team, you make sure that aircraft fly safely, smoothly and on time every day. You do this by carrying out maintenance work by the book in line with safety requirements and various regulations. You also make an active contribution to optimising the maintenance processes.

Tasks & responsibilities 

  • Ensuring (maintenance) processes on the ground run flawlessly.
  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and modification activities.
  • Carry out the work according to the required specifications and in compliance with the various regulations (such as those from the Safety Management System)
  • Improve the current maintenance processes.
  • Contribute to the further development of your team.
  • Work in a shift-based environment.

You will work within Airframe department in one of the hangars and sometimes travel abroad! You will report to the Plant Leader and during the operational shifts to the Lead Engineer. You will be a part of the Airframe department, which is responsible for aircraft maintenance for the KLM fleet and global customers. Together with Air France Industries, KLM E&M is a leading player in aircraft maintenance worldwide. 


Minimum Skills & Experience:

You are an enthusiastic competent Aircraft Mechanic with a great sense of responsibility. Delivering aircraft effectively and efficiently to the end customer is what you aim for, and of course you do this together with your team. You are not afraid to make decisions and show initiative; you do everything to reach your goals and are proud of what you work on. Connecting and making contacts also comes easily to you, which means you interact effortlessly with different people: from cleaners to customer representatives and from flight crew to your peers.

  • Experience with base maintenance and a desire to continue with base maintenance.
  • Experience with at least one of the following a/c - B737,777,787 or A330,320NEO would be an advantage. 
  • You need to hold either EASA Part-66 AML CAT A /B1/B2 License or BETEC Level2/3 in a technical discipline or EASA Part 66 basic modules CAT A/B.  
  • EU Passport or VISA to work within The Netherlands
  • English language – good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dutch language skills not required.
  • High level of self-discipline, self-motivated and work well as part of a team.
