Role Overview West Atlantic UK is seeking experienced Boeing 737 type rated Captains to join its growing operation at East Midlands Airport (EMA), on a fixed 7 days on / 7 days off roster. As a B737 Captain you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft while supporting leading logistics and freight providers. You will work within a highly experienced team delivering scheduled cargo operations and ad-hoc charter services across multiple international destinations. You will operate the fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-400 freighters , delivering time-critical cargo services and ad-hoc charter flights carrying everything from automotive parts and musical equipment to specialist and dangerous goods. Flying predominantly takes place overnight, which the advert describes as ideal for pilots who enjoy a different operational environment from traditional passenger airline schedules. Cargo flying is presented as a rewarding alternative to passenger operations, with varied flying, operational challenges and the satisfaction of supporting essential supply chains across the UK, Europe and beyond. Licences & Qualifications Right to work in the UK. UK CAA ATPL , or CPL with appropriate command privileges . Current Boeing 737 type rating (Classic or NG). Valid UK CAA Class 1 Medical . ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above. Requirements Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to operate night schedules. Previous cargo operations experience (desirable). What We Offer Fixed 7 days on / 7 days off roster, with every other week free. Salary: £87,623 , described as an extremely competitive package. Away-from-base payment of £1.85 for every hour away from base, plus an additional air mileage payment per flight. Full-time and part-time contract options available. Career progression opportunities including Type Rating Instructor (TRI), Type Rating Examiner (TRE) and additional operational and management roles. Operations throughout the UK and Europe.
