Role Overview Gama Aviation is seeking a skilled B1 licensed aircraft engineer to work as part of its Mobile Service Team, based at Luton and travelling at short notice throughout the south of England and occasionally to worldwide locations. This is a rare opportunity to join a team of driven and talented engineers who thrive on delivering first-class service and support. The role provides and performs certification of rapid-response aircraft maintenance services from mobile support units and line station facilities. The successful candidate joins a long-established, respected and forward-thinking company with a proven pedigree in internal career development, with type and non-type training provided. Working hours: 5-5-4 shift pattern, 07:00 to 19:00. Employment type: full-time (Ground division). Base: Luton Airport, covering the south of England. Key Responsibilities Deliver and certify line scheduled and unscheduled / AOG service to exceed client expectations while remaining compliant with Gama Group policies and procedures Work as part of a small team and individually, coordinating line and AOG events through to conclusion Ensure the allocated Mobile Service Team vehicle is always properly provisioned, clean and ready for service before leaving shift Comply with all procedures detailed in the GAEL Maintenance Organisation Expositions (EASA / CAA) Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures and COSHH requirements Comply with all procedures listed in the current Staff Company Handbook Licences & Qualifications Essential: unrestricted UK CAA Part-66 B1 Licence with at least one of the following type ratings: Bombardier BD-700 Global Express; Bombardier Challenger 350; Bombardier Challenger 604/605/650; Bombardier Challenger 850; Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300; Embraer EMB-135/145; Cessna Citation 560XLS; Cessna Citation 680/680A Holders of a UK Part-66 Licence Category A must have held Category A privileges on at least one of the listed type ratings Valid passport and UK driving licence Experience Essential: extensive experience as a line / base certifying engineer, with experience in AOG support roles, preferably mobile support Extensive aircraft maintenance experience with a wide knowledge and skill range in servicing, inspection, repair and modifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Flexible and able to travel at short notice Desirable: good understanding of the concepts and requirements of SMS, quality assurance and audits Desirable: line management experience, including delegating work, setting clear directions and managing workflow Desirable: strong mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to train and develop subordinates and foster teamwork What We Offer Good work-life balance with a 5-5-4 shift pattern Type rating training included for the right individuals Opportunities for professional development Competitive salary Competitive group pension scheme Comprehensive life assurance (subject to insurance underwriting) Comprehensive income protection (subject to insurance underwriting) Comprehensive travel insurance (subject to insurance underwriting) Comprehensive private healthcare after successfully passing probation (subject to insurance underwriting) Free car parking Two paid volunteering days each calendar year, subject to line manager approval Investment in training, qualifications and professional development Additional Information Employment type: full-time. Requirements
- Deliver and certify line scheduled and unscheduled / AOG service to exceed client expectations while remaining compliant with Gama Group policies and procedures
- Work as part of a small team and individually, coordinating line and AOG events through to conclusion
