About the role:
As a Turnaround Coordinator, you will supervise and coordinate a safe and On-time Turnaround for customer airline in accordance to IATA IGOM Chapter 6 requirements and the respective airlines’ procedures. Ensure Customer Airlines aircraft are loaded and offloaded safely according to the airline, QAS, and regulatory requirements and laid down procedures, ensure that loading is in accordance to the load plan and the load sheet must reflect the actual loading. Any deviation to the load plan must be communicated to the Load Controller for confirmation or changes. Oversee all ground activities and be the main point of contact, report any ground damage and/or incident as per IATA, airline and local regulatory requirements.
Enlist the support of all participating entities of the turnaround process to achieve a safe on-time turnaround of an aircraft.
Ensure Customer Airlines Aircraft Ground movement communication (Headset Operations) is performed as per customer airline procedure and safety guidelines for arrival and departure.
Ensure the aircraft is offloaded in a safe and timely manner following the sequence of offloading in accordance with the requirements to the Customer Airline in order to maintain Ground stability at all times.
Ensure that all special loads are secured using Tie down / lashing and spreaders and ensure net sections are secured; locks are raised before closing aircraft’s cargo holds in accordance to the Customer Airline Manuals.
Ensure that the dead load/incoming units are checked for damage, leakage or spillage, if any prior to offloading / after offloading and highlight irregularities/discrepancies.
Ensure that all planned dead load for the flight is physically checked, serviceable for load ability prior to loading into the Aircraft’s hold(s) and make sure no other units/dead load not planned for the flight is on the aircraft bay.
Ensure that the Aircraft Holds are checked for damage, missing locks/nets/stanchions and residual liquids from the leakage.
Ensure safe and timely delivery of Baggage and Cargo to respective areas within stipulated timings.
Cross check / tally the received Unit Load Device (ULD) Movement slip/cargo hand over form before the loading commences.
Cross check and tally all received ULD slips along with unit summary report against the load instruction before the aircraft is off chocks.
Ensure Load Plan is correctly filled as per actual loading and inform load deviations to Load Controller / CLC Co-ordinator before departure of aircraft.
Sign the Loading Instruction / Report Form confirming that the aircraft is loaded in accordance to the load plan and deviations, if any are reflected on the load plan; thereby taking the entire responsibility of the loading.
Ensure all deviations from the PTS (QR) and procedures are duly noted and reported to Ramp Officer and / or Airside Duty Manager.
Responsible to update Target Off-Block Timing (TOBT) and Target Start-Up Approval Time (TSAT) as per define SOP and coordinate with Pilot in Command for (TSAT) updates; especially on stands without Visual Docking Guiding System (VDGS) as per agreed Airport Collaborative Decision Making (ACDM) process.
Ensure accurate log of timings for all activities during a turnaround for ascertaining delay reason (if any) and allocate delay codes.
Perform safety and security spot check on QAS resources – manpower and equipment during a turnaround, which are utilized by QAS for daily operations.
Respond and coordinate QAS resources, in coordination with Airside Duty Manager, to support activities relating to an airline / airport emergency situation.
