About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Stores Coordinator to support a busy aircraft maintenance environment within an established UK MRO organisation. This role plays a key part in supporting engineering operations by ensuring efficient control of aircraft parts, materials, tooling and consumables in compliance with aviation regulations.

This is an initial 3-month contract with potential for extension, suited to someone with previous aviation stores or materials experience who can confidently operate in a regulated maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and book in aircraft parts, tooling and consumables

  • Verify airworthiness documentation (EASA Form 1, FAA 8130, Certificates of Conformity)

  • Maintain accurate stock control and inventory traceability

  • Pick, pack and issue parts to engineering teams to support maintenance activity

  • Process material requests and support AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements

  • Manage bonded stores procedures and shelf-life control

  • Assist with logistics, dispatch and returns of parts & components

  • Maintain quarantine and unserviceable stock areas

  • Support control and issuing of calibrated tooling

  • Ensure full compliance with Part 145 procedures and company Quality Systems

  • Update and maintain records within the company's MRO/Inventory system

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Previous experience in an Aviation Stores / Materials / Logistics role

  • Strong understanding of Part 145 regulations

  • Experience with airworthiness certification processes

  • Ability to work with MRO stock management systems (TRAX, Quantum, AMOS, OASES or similar)

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance support environment

  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Forklift licence

  • Experience with AOG logistics

  • Tooling control experience

  • Dangerous Goods by Air certificate (IATA)

  • Knowledge of aircraft components and rotables

Contract Details

  • Contract Length: 3 Months (extendable)

  • IR35 Status: Outside IR35

  • Hours: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

  • Rate: Competitive - DOE

  • Location: North East England - Onsite role (no remote working)
