Maintenance Control Centre Engineer - Brize Norton

Our Client is looking for a skilled Maintenance Control Centre Engineer to join their team at Brize Norton, working full-time on site. This is a long-term contract running until 30th September 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Here's what you need to know upfront:

  • Pay: £40.00/hr (Umbrella) or £29.89/hr (PAYE)
  • Hours: 12.5-hour shifts (06:30-19:00), following a rotating pattern of 5 on, 5 off, 4 on
  • Location: Fully onsite at Brize Norton
  • Security Clearance: BPSS and SC required
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Interview: One-stage, on-site preferred

Now, let's talk about the role.

You'll be the central point of contact for the deployed fleet, making real-time decisions that directly impact aircraft readiness and recovery. It's a hands-on, high-responsibility position where you'll coordinate with logistics, planning, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Monitoring aircraft serviceability and managing recovery efforts for AOG situations
  • Liaising with Part 145 maintenance organisations and ensuring compliance with operational limitations
  • Providing daily operational updates and escalation briefs
  • Supporting out-of-hours operations, including raising event reports and handling technical queries
  • Leading responses to major incidents and enacting business continuity plans when needed

To thrive in this role, you'll need a solid aircraft maintenance background. Ideally, you'll hold an EASA PT.66 licence or have equivalent experience. Confidence in briefing senior stakeholders is essential. Military aviation experience is helpful but not required.

If you're someone who enjoys being at the heart of operations, thrives under pressure, and wants to make a real impact, this could be the perfect opportunity.
