JOB PROFILE:
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Fitters) will be responsible to perform maintenance activities as per
instruction of his superiors and in support to the Certifying Staff. He/She will have to support the company
whenever required, within the limit of Human Performance.
The duties and responsibilities will include the following inter-alia:
• Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers /Certifying staff/Maintenance Controllers in carrying out maintenance tasks
• Perform, record and sign for all work performed on aircraft, aircraft engines, components and equipment
according to Approved data, organisation Procedures and Standards and as specified in any contract and
work orders in place
• Ensure that over and above specifically allocated tasks on an aircraft, at all times look and report to your
superior defects found during the performance of maintenance tasks
• Comply with all airport policies, regulations and procedures
• Keep current with approved data, organisation procedures, standards and regulatory requirements
• Report to Licensed Aircraft Engineers / Maintenance Controller any doubtful or unusual condition as required
by applicable work instructions
• Report to Licensed Aircraft Engineers/Maintenance Controller whenever you become aware of any
mistake/error made by you
• Ensure good general working practices: working with appropriate serviceable tools and equipment;
cleanliness of premises, equipment, work areas and surroundings, proper usage of company assets etc
• Report maintenance error and safety related event as required in approved organisation documentation
• Ensure that all tools, personal or requested from stores, used during a check to perform a task, are cleared
off from aircraft and returned to their respective place of storage at the end of your shift or before completion
of a Workpack, whichever comes first.


PREREQUISITES:
• Hold a valid License duly issued by a National Aviation Authority or successful completed all AME (Aircraft
Maintenance Engineering) modules or equivalent and
• Have at least 5 years of Aircraft Maintenance experience in base maintenance environment in an approved
Maintenance Organisation
Note 1:
Candidates not holding a license but having extensive maintenance experience (above 5 years) in a base
maintenance environment shall also be considered.
Note 2:
Candidates who have experience in maintenance on the A350, A330 (Trent 700)/(Trent 7000) and ATR72
500/600 may have an advantage


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be fully familiar with the Mauritius Civil Aviation Regulations and or EASA PART 145 requirements
• Have a strong analytical, critical thinking, organisational, planning and problem solving skills
• Be proactive, result oriented and have a proven track record of delivery against targets
• Have the ability and willingness to work both in the hangar and the ramp, within tight deadlines and odd hours
including weekends and public holidays
• Be health and safety conscious
• Be a team player with good integrity, interpersonal and communication skills
• Be dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic
